The person receiving Reiki is fully clothed, relaxing on a table, while the practitioner is focusing on you, connecting to your personal energy to give the amount of energy needed to bring you balance.
Absolutely everyone could benefit from a session! Most common reasons people seek treatment are to: reduce stress, reduce pain, relieve anxiety and depression, increase immune function, increase a sense of well-being, and so much more.
This is completely up to you! While usually there is some light touching of the practitioners hands on certain parts of your body to specifically focus their energy to that spot (your head, heart, leg, etc.), if you are uncomfortable with any physical contact just say so. Reiki can also be done with holding their hands just above you.
The best way to describe a session would be deep relaxation. Some people feel strong emotions and heat in certain problem areas that are being focused on, while some people feel nothing during the session other than relaxation. However, most everyone feels a deep sense of calm and peace following their session, usually followed by a great nights sleep.
Yes! Instead of coming to have your session, you would just need to send over your photo, and any areas you would like to be focused on, before our scheduled time. During your scheduled appointment, you should find a comfortable place where you can relax without distractions for the duration of your appointment. At the same time, I will be focusing on you using your photo, and channel the energy to you using that. Please make sure to mention if it is a distance session before the day of, to make sure we both will be properly prepared for the session.
Of course! Every animal could also benefit from positive energy. When my dog Bella was diagnosed with cancer, she would receive weekly sessions to help alleviate any pain or anxiety, and to promote calmness. However, every animal is different so when you contact to make their appointment, we can further discuss details of their session. Some may benefit from a distance session.
